Three Mobile
'5G Is In The House'
Bringing 5G to Life with the World’s First Live Holographic Experience
To celebrate the launch of Three’s high-speed 5G broadband, a groundbreaking experience was created that fused volumetric capture with holographic projection — a world first. This immersive installation on London’s Southbank transformed the future of music, gaming, and esports across three epic nights, showcasing the powerful capabilities of Three’s 5G home broadband.
Until now, mixed reality holograms were either not visible to live audiences or limited to fixed projections with restricted angles. This installation, however, was the first-ever volumetric hologram performance viewable from all angles by a live audience, offering a truly revolutionary experience.
Partnering with Dimension — the innovators behind the augmented reality ‘Madonnas’ performing with the real singer at the Billboard Music Awards — we brought this visionary project to life. The installation also featured cutting-edge projection technology, with four projectors managed by Projection Artwork, delivering a parallax effect that created depth and realism, something impossible on traditional broadcast platforms.
The Hologram House featured photo-realistic holographic performances by three influencers, with dynamic camera moves and a 360-degree view that allowed the audience to experience the performance in its full, immersive glory. Each performance highlighted a different benefit of Three’s 5G home broadband, demonstrating how this next-gen technology is transforming entertainment and everyday experiences.
